Alyssa Jiwani (she/her) is an actor, director, choreographer, singer, dancer, educator, and arts administrator from Seattle, WA. Alyssa Jiwani is a 2023 graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of Drama, receiving a BFA in Drama and minors in Applied Theatre and Educational Theatre. Alyssa is based in Seattle, WA, New York, NY, and Vancouver, BC. 

Alyssa is the founder and artistic director of The Virtual Theatre Co, an online theatre education organization she created during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Some of Alyssa's other arts leadership experience includes; Impact Artist Ambassador at Entertainment for Change, Director of Operations at Broadway of Tomorrow, Education Intern at New York City Children's Theatre, STG Young Ambassador at Seattle Theatre Group, Social Media/Outreach Manager for Bringing You Broadway, cohort member of Empowered Artist Collective, and more!

Alyssa is incredibly passionate about increasing diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity in the theatre industry. Her work in this regard has been featured by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Actor Aesthetic blog and podcast, Broadway World, Broadway Podcast Network, and more!  

Some of Alyssa’s performing credits include; Seussical (Bird Girl, U/S Mayzie), Music Man (Zaneeta Shinn), Our Town (Emily Webb), Freaky Friday (Laurel/Cater Waiter/Featured Dancer), Anonymous (Nemasani), Almost, Maine (Glory), Zombie Prom (Candy), many Bollywood dance performances, various NYU student works, and many more! 

A few of Alyssa’s production credits include; The Virtual Theatre Co's Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Director),  Wildcats: The Cabaret, Steel Magnolias, "Zoom Where It Happens" Cabaret,  Almost, Maine "Happiest Zoom on Earth" Disney Cabaret, The Overlake School's Dear Edwina (Choreographer), Fools (Co-Director), Our Town (Co-Director), Music Man (Co-Choreographer), Lion King, Jr. (Asst. Choreographer), Seussical (Asst. Choreographer, Dance Captain), various NYU student works, and many more! She was recognized for her work in choreography, direction, and leadership at the 5th Avenue Theatre Awards, receiving a Special Honors in Outstanding Student Achievement.
